UK Warranty Information

At SCOOT-A-BOOT we are committed to providing you quality scooters with a piece of mind warranty to support your purchase. We offer one or two year warranty on our scooters and bikes. Please check individual brands for warranty length.


You must be the original purchaser of the scooter or bike directly from SCOOT-A-BOOT and be able to provide the reference number / proof of purchase. Due to the nature of these products warranty is not transferable when passing on ownership. 

Please also take note of the weight restrictions for your scooter and read the manual before using your ebike or scooter.


The warranty will cover manufacturing faults and defects with product. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective items and said repair and replacements are the sole remedies of the warranty.

The shipping costs to ship the product back to us will be covered for the first month then after the cost and responsibility lies with the customer. All warranty return postage to the customer will be covered by SCOOT-A-BOOT. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss.


  • General wear and tear or any damage caused by misuse is not covered. The warranty covers you solely against manufacturing faults.
  • Accidental or crash damage, abuse, miss-use, attempting tricks, water damage, neglect, exceeding the weight limit, changing settings or anything else that results in damage caused by the user is not covered by the warranty. 
  • Damage due to improper assembly or maintenance
  • Damage due to the installation of incompatible parts or accessories or installation of parts or accessories that were not intended for or compatible with the product 
  • Failure to perform maintenance or service at appropriate intervals

Any modification to the scooter will void the warranty. The warranty will also be void if you are not the original owner. The warranty is non-transferrable.

  • If the scooter has been used and your notice a defect or failure after 30 days you will not be eligible for a refund but we will replace the defective part under warranty terms.

How do I make a warranty claim?

  • Contact our Customer Services team at warranty@scoot-a-boot.co.uk and a member of our team will contact you to discuss the claim.
  • email over photo’s/ videos of the issue along with a proof of purchase.
  • Our technical team will determine the issue and defect based on the information that you have provided within your warranty claim and they may require you to send back the original defective part/ items.
  • Our team will examine the goods and if they confirm that it is defective or faulty (a warranty issue), your product will be fixed free of charge. 

Cancel my order?

To cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible at contact@scoot-a-boot.co.uk. If we have not yet dispatched your item you will be fully refunded however If your order has already left the warehouse you will need to return the item at your own cost and your refund will be made in full once we have received the scooter back and have fully checked it has not been used.

Returns – Changed mind 

If you change your mind please contact us within 14 days of delivery to initiate a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept returns for any items that show signs of use or missing accessories/packaging or have more than 1km recorded use. In the instance of a changed mind return – you will be responsible for return shipping costs (insured courier).

Returns – Faulty goods 

If you receive an item that is either damaged or faulty please contact us immediately to initiate the return and refund/replacement process.

Send details of fault/defect along with order number/invoice number to contact@scoot-a-boot.co.uk  prior to returning item and, once approved, we will arrange pre-paid collection.

Please note: Returns will only be accepted providing that scooters have been used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Issues arising from misuse, water damage or modification (including firmware) will NOT be covered.

Damaged on arrival

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
